I absolutely adore old movies. The glamor and polish always make me want to step inside them and become a part of the story. I especially love the clothes and style of the women in 40’s black and white films. And I love finding another woman who has as deep a voice as I do, so I especially love Lauren Bacall. If you have never seen her first movie, “To Have and Have Not”, with her husband Humphrey Bogart, you need to check it out today. Not only is her hair and wardrobe flawless, this movie includes probably the best and sexiest line ever- “You know how to whistle, don’t you? You just put your lips together and blow.”
If you enjoy old movies like I do, you need to check out West End Movies in Greenville’s West End. They screen different classic and independent films every week for a lot less than traditional movie theaters. This Friday at 8pm, they are showing Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None”, from 1945. I have never seen the movie, but I remember the book being pretty creepy! Tickets are only $5 and include free popcorn. West End Movies is located at 640 South Main St., Studio 200. Why not check it out!
